From the beautiful fixtures, to the antique tables and upholstered library chairs, this shop feels like home. Quintessentials’ owner, Kristen Anderson Hudson, has harmoniously arranged tabletop, linen and gift finds in every price point, from the world’s top designers. In 2010, wanting to expand their offerings, Hudson relocated the store a few doors down to a significantly larger retail space. Her handpicked collectibles and gifts share space with one of a kind antiques, a custom made flatware display and the stunning china and crystal rooms showcase hundreds of patterns. A 19th century French drapery table proudly displays bridal registry selections for all to admire. This assortment makes Quintessentials the ultimate tabletop and gift destination of the Carolinas. The friendly and knowledgeable sales staff paired with the decidedly comfortable atmosphere makes shopping and bridal registry at Quintessentials a delightful experience for over seventeen years.
The Owner and Buyer
Hudson, a Raleigh, NC native, had a passion for china since she can remember. After graduating with a degree in retail management, she started to pursue her dream of owning a tabletop store by becoming the store manager of Quintessentials. She then turned to working in the family business and studied under the chief financial officer to better understand what it takes to own a successful small business. In 2010, Hudson's dream came true. With the previous owner’s announcement to retire, she purchased Quintessentials. You can find Hudson researching treasures to explore on the next buying trip, meeting with brides to put together their ultimate registry, or helping patrons, both old and new, find the perfect collectible or gift. The store is truly a dream come true.Location
